MYTHMAKER proved better than ever to come out on top, confirming the promise of his last run when second home on the wrong side in the Great St Wilfrid; disputed lead, went on 2f out, tackled final 1f, stayed on well.

VIBRANT CHORDS produced best effort to date back against older horses and was perhaps a bit unlucky not to win having caught a sizeable late bump from the winner; in touch, challenged from 2f out, bumped final 1f, stuck to task; he's finished out of the frame just once in his life and deserves a change of luck.

IMTIYAAZ (IRE) back up in trip, ran well, seemed beaten on merit; prominent, effort under 2f out, ran on.

MERDON CASTLE (IRE) shaped encouragingly tried in eyeshields on first outing since leaving David Elsworth after 13 months off, all his useful ability probably intact, and as such looks the type his new stable will do well with; held up, headway over 2f out, chased leaders approaching final 1f, kept on.

UDONTDODOU less exposed than the rest, got back on track and was half eyecatching as well, still plenty of time for him to make up into the smart sprinter that his early-season efforts promised; soon steadied, effort out wide under 2f out, kept on; he's effective under testing conditions and could be booked for a good autumn.

MONEY TEAM (IRE) just out of the handicap, shaped as if still in good form under different conditions to those he seemed to relish here last time; held up, effort 2f out, one paced, never landed a blow.

HAWKEYETHENOO (IRE) back down in trip, shaped as if back in form, better than the bare result; raced off the pace, not clear run under 2f out, finished with running left, never nearer.

TWIN APPEAL (IRE) possibly still needed this run, kept to 6f; held up, short of room after 1f, shaken up 2f out, never involved.

ZANETTO back in headgear, fared no better; mid-division, ridden over 2f out, weakened.

FOXTROT KNIGHT claimer ridden, proved to be a disappointment, a rare off day; disputed lead, ridden over 2f out, found little.

HARWOODS VOLANTE (IRE) found run of good form coming to a halt, not that he had much chance under a totally different ride to those that've served him well of late; awkward leaving stalls, in rear, not settle fully, ridden 2f out, made no impression.

SEE THE SUN seems to have completely lost his form and, as such, isn't worth a rating at present; chased leaders, ridden over 2f out, dropped away quickly.
