had no problem with the step up in trip in making it 2-2 over fences after 8 weeks off, wasting no time justifying his new yard's decision to fast-track him to fences; made all, jumped well in main, took keen hold, quickened straight, went further clear after taking 3 out 7 lengths ahead, won easily; he'll be forced into something better next time but deservedly so.

hasn't progressed from his debut in this sphere, though reverting to front-running tactics back around 2m could see him get on the right path; tracked pace, shaken up from 4 out, no response from next, left behind by winner.

stepped up on his comeback run from 2 lb out of the handicap another 9 weeks on without looking back to the pick of his efforts from a light first season chasing, tried in just a tongue tie this time; waited with, typically took strong hold, outpaced entering straight, held when blundered 3 out.

was found out in better company from 3 lb out of the weights, a lucky winner from his correct mark the time before after all; patiently ridden, jumped tentatively, pushed along before end of back straight, made no impression.

The first fence in the back straight was omitted due to the state of the ground

This proved very one-sided and likely would have done so even had Parliament Hill not departed, such was the dominance of yet another Laura Morgan-trained youngster who has taken very well to the new discipline.
