WHOPUTFIFTYINYOU (IRE) upped in trip, improved again to maintain unbeaten record, pulling clear with another who looks well ahead of his mark; dwelt, in rear, ran green home turn, shaken up early in straight, good headway out wide 2f out, stayed on to lead final 100 yds; will go on improving as he gains in experience and looks the type who can make his mark at a higher grade.

MIGHTY ULYSSES without the hood for handicap debut, ran well, unlucky to bump into one; mid-field, travelled fluently, switched 3f out, good headway soon after, led around 2f out, headed final 100 yds, pulled clear of remainder; his entry in the St James's Palace Stakes looks optimistic on the back of this, but he'll remain of interest provided his sights aren't set too high.

OUTGATE probably did about as well as he could, no match for a couple of highly progressive types but faring best of the rest; raced off the pace, headway 2f out, booked for third when short of room briefly final 1f, no extra.

OH HERBERTS REIGN (IRE) made the frame but wasn't in the same form as last time; mid-field, headway around 2f out, kept on; he's more exposed than several he'll meet in races of this type and is likely to be of more interest when taking on his elders.

TOLLARD ROYAL (IRE) thrown into a strong race for handicap debut and wasn't disgraced; prominent, ridden under 3f out, carried head bit awkwardly, plugged on.

MISTER WILSON (IRE) back up in trip and claimer ridden after 7 weeks off, went backwards from reappearance; prominent, weakening when short of room briefly 2f out.

RING OF BEARA (FR) again ran below form; raced off the pace, hampered soon after start, ridden over 2f out, never landed a blow; he's yet to prove he's trained on, but needs some respite from the handicapper on the pick of his 2-y-o form in any case.

CITY RUNNER (IRE) found run of good form coming to a halt, though didn't really have things go his way; bumped soon after start and rider lost irons, close up, raced freely, shaken up over 2f out, weakened final 1f.

SPIRIT CATCHER (IRE) back on a flat track but proved to be a disappointment; led, headed 2f out, weakened; type to bounce back quickly.

DIRTYOLDTOWN (IRE) form last time is proving strong, but followed that good run with a below-par one; mid-field, bumped 3f out, dropped away.
