after 8 months off, benefited from the step up in trip as he got back on the up, no guarantee we've seen the best of him yet at 2m+ given the stamina he shows; in touch, pushed along under 4f out, edged ahead approaching final 1f, battled well.

ran well after 6 months off, looking the proper stayer than he is these days; in rear, off the bridle long way out, headway under pressure 2f out, every chance entering final 1f, stayed on well.

after 7 months off, ended last season in a lull but bounced back to form, hardly running as though lack of fitness was an issue; never far away, challenged from 3f out, every chance still 1f out, kept on.

is a tough and reliable stayer who ran creditably on first outing since leaving Jonathan Portman (for 65,000 gns) after 9 months off; forced pace, headed approaching final 1f, stayed on; on the face of it, his mark pretty much sums him up, but this yard has managed to improve stayers before.

shaped as if retaining all ability after 8 months off and, though he does need to improve again to defy this sort of mark, he's still not fully exposed at 2m+ and it's not out of the question he'll go on again this season, especially if and when his stamina is really brought into play; prominent, shaken up 3f out, not quicken approaching final 1f.

had been gelded and shaped as if better for the run after 7 months off; held up, took keen hold, headway 3f out, no extra approaching final 1f; he's got some strong form to his name from last season and is worth another chance to prove himself better treated than this might suggest.

A useful handicap and a reasonable gallop considering considering the small field, Moon King getting back on the up to edge it on his first attempt at 2m.
