looks on his way to Group company on the face of it, but for his 2 listed wins this year his professionalism has shone through, the progress almost a bi-product, overcoming a penalty here but crucially coping best with the strenuous set-up of the race, to chase down Monarchs Glen, letting Raheen House get on with some of that work but taking it upon himself from 2f out, a job well done by the final 1f; on the positive side, this is the first time he's had the opportunity to really flex his stamina muscles, clearly suiting him.

hard to know at this stage what his capabilities or requirements are, still very much a work-in-progress, but coming through this should unlock whatever's within him, sitting last and slow but sure in making up ground, almost nursed into second in the last 100 yds.

was the first to set about the pursuit of the clear leader, into the straight, but the hard yards then don't fully excuse the shortfall of 7 lb or so compared to his best form, all rather laboured by him off the bridle, just plugging away; higher aspirations (entered in King Edward VII) are on hold for now.

no ground excuse this time, just not the horse he promised to be, at least not while he's still so eager, lessons not learnt by him, though cheekpieces and the attacking ride fostered it here, around 10l clear by halfway, emptying by the last 1f.

reappearance win at Wetherby hardly qualified him for this, the company beyond him at his early stage, heading up the main body but put in his place from 2f out.

well worth another chance to confirm the high promise of his debut, easy enough to overlook this, flying too high too soon as it turned out, a shock to his system with the nature of the race, never involved.
held up, struggling 4f out, no impression

Winning Owner: Mr Nizar Anwar

Time: 2m 22.77s

Overrounds: Industry SP 110%, Betfair SP 100.4%

Those who brought potential to the race could never unpack it, a high-pressure environment, brought to bear by Monarchs Glen racing clear, asking questions to which only the fully-formed Khalidi had the answers, not a strong piece of form.

KHALIDI looks on his way to Group company on the face of it, but for his 2 listed wins this year his professionalism has shone through, the progress almost a bi-product, overcoming a penalty here but crucially coping best with the strenuous set-up of the race, to chase down Monarchs Glen, letting Raheen House get on with some of that work but taking it upon himself from 2f out, a job well done by the final 1f; on the positive side, this is the first time he's had the opportunity to really flex his stamina muscles, clearly suiting him.

SHYMKENT reappearance win at Wetherby hardly qualified him for this, the company beyond him at his early stage, heading up the main body but put in his place from 2f out.

THE GRAND VISIR well worth another chance to confirm the high promise of his debut, easy enough to overlook this, flying too high too soon as it turned out, a shock to his system with the nature of the race, never involved.
