Four mares who'd contested the Dawn Run at last month's Cheltenham Festival reopposed and, with several disappointing efforts from the group who arrived fresh, that quartet ended up filling the first 4 places, Skyace doing best once again despite 2 of the Mullins mares bouncing back to form.

SKYACE (IRE) attracted and put a €59,000 cherry on top of her already remarkable novice hurdling campaign, surely the success story of the season given her connections picked her up for just £600 (from Willie Mullins no less); tracked pace, going well entering straight and got gap after 2 out, quickened to lead last, driven out; she'll probably prove best at this trip rather than shorter and should continue to run well.

GAULOISE (FR) had a blip at Cheltenham but quickly got back on the up; mid-field, travelled strongly, good progress 2 out, loomed up between last 2, not fluent last and not quicken run-in; she's still only 5 and the way she cruised into contention suggests she may do even better at some point.

HOOK UP (FR) returned to form back on Irish soil in a first-time hood and would probably have finished a closer third with a cleaner round of jumping, the longer trip seeming fine; raced off the pace, made mistakes, smooth headway out wide after 3 out, threatened leaders between last 2, effort flattened out.

GLENS OF ANTRIM (IRE) ridden more patiently back up in trip, typically wasn't disgraced but could probably use a break and a drop in grade; waited with, not fluent sixth, crept closer next, shuffled back approaching 2 out, went fourth before last but no further impression; she seemingly shows a bit more at home than she's done on the track so far.

GLOBAL EQUITY (IRE) wasted no time getting back on track, just not really up to this level; prominent, shuffled back approaching 2 out, no threat before last.

ATLANTIC FAIRY (IRE) disappointed upped further in grade after 6 weeks off, seemingly not 100% on the day; led, took strong hold, tackled 2 out, carried head bit awkwardly between last 2, weakened.

CASTRA VETERA (IRE) after a further 8 weeks off, again finished well held, needing her sights lowering; mid-field, not always fluent, pushed along after 3 out, dropped away after next.

BRAVE WAY (IRE) might have needed the run after another 8 weeks off but did look awkward under pressure; raced wide, mid-field, not fluent fifth, sixth, headway home turn, every chance 2 out, carried head bit awkwardly and dropped away before last.

ROYAL ILLUSION (IRE) ended up disappointing but didn't appear to be found out by the step up in grade itself, getting into it easily but folding after 2 out; in touch, smooth headway home turn, every chance 2 out, weakened and set to be well held when fell last.

LA CHANTEUSE (IRE) fared no better after 6 weeks off, ittedly in an even higher grade; mid-field, pushed along after 4 out, dropped away after 3 out.

RHYTHM DIVINE (IRE) is a better mare now than when she contested her first graded race (at Cheltenham) but didn't get a chance to show that, making a bad error at the third and pulling up before the sixth.

THE SLIDING ROCK was even further out of her depth; raced off the pace, struggling sixth, pulled up before 3 out.
