proved at least as good as ever, though seen to maximum advantage, sent to the front in a race lacking obvious pace; led, jumped well, went with zest, clear after fourth, shaken up 3 out, kept on well run-in; he won the Tingle Creek last season and that would seem the obvious next step.

The dual Grade 1 winner Greaneteen had to give plenty of weight away all round and that he could win as he did might suggest a performance right out of the top drawer, but it's surely best to view the form more cautiously, the timefigure nothing out of the ordinary, all the field having their first run since the spring and only Dolos running his race against the winner, who very much had the run of things, sharp jumping keeping him firmly in control, this a second success in the race after victory in 2020.

GREANETEEN (FR) proved at least as good as ever, though seen to maximum advantage, sent to the front in a race lacking obvious pace; led, jumped well, went with zest, clear after fourth, shaken up 3 out, kept on well run-in; he won the Tingle Creek last season and that would seem the obvious next step.

DOLOS (FR) ran creditably from 1 lb out of the weights after 6 months off, this about as competitive as he wants it; waited with, travelled well, chased leader 4 out, ridden before 2 out, one paced last.

WAR LORD (GER) was below form after 7 months off, run off his feet mid-race, either wanting further or headgear; waited with, badly outpaced eighth, kept on after 3 out, never on .

THIRD TIME LUCKI (IRE) well backed, was below form in first-time tongue strap after 7 months off, looking a threat until beaten in a stride after clouting one; waited with, travelled strongly, not fluent fourth, yet to be asked for effort when bad mistake 4 out, soon done with, mistake 2 out.

US AND THEM (IRE) after 4 months off, faced a very stiff task from out of the handicap and didn't get very far; in rear, awkward first, second, pulled up after.
