confirmed recent promise to gain a first success on turf, just about getting away with the drop in trip on this sharp track, aided on that score by the strong pace; mid-division, kept on well from 2f out, led final strides; won't go up much for this and should continue in form.

back on firmer ground, ran one of better races of the season; steadied at the start, in rear, headway around halfway, kept on, nearest at the finish; suited by how this developed (seems reliant on a strong gallop) and not sure to be in the same sort of form next time.
