well backed, encouragingly backed up his winning reappearance with a routine victory, his ability to stand racing being the only real question mark about him coming into this, little doubting he can prove a lot better than this grade if staying sound, positives both in of what he's already shown on the track and his pedigree; prominent, challenged 2f out, led 1f out, kept on well; will go on improving.

Some useful handicappers on show in a race run at a modest pace, but the winner's lightly-raced profile is much more progressive than any of the others and he followed up in straightforward fashion.

TEMPUS well backed, encouragingly backed up his winning reappearance with a routine victory, his ability to stand racing being the only real question mark about him coming into this, little doubting he can prove a lot better than this grade if staying sound, positives both in of what he's already shown on the track and his pedigree; prominent, challenged 2f out, led 1f out, kept on well; will go on improving.

WALHAAN (IRE) ran creditably and shouldn't be too long in getting off the mark for this yard, facing a stiff task up against such a progressive one here; mid-field, smooth headway 2f out, challenged 1f out, kept on.

CAP FRANCAIS shaped as if still in good form despite not for the first time showing signs of temperament, though a stronger pace at this trip is probably what he needs; mid-field, raced freely, outpaced 3f out, kept on.

ORBAAN ran respectably, not seen to best effect having been set a lot to do the way the race unfolded; steadied at the start, held up, headway over 1f out, kept on, would have benefited from a stronger gallop.

BLOWN BY WIND ran to a similar level to last time, his starting continuing to be a problem; reared and very slowly away, in rear, headway 2f out, plugged on.

GIN PALACE followed a good run with a below-par one; prominent, challenged 2f out, weakened final 1f.

AFAAK without the headgear this time, has run several excellent races at this track but none of them involved dictating matters in a small field and this didn't seem to suit; raced freely, led until over 1f out, weakened.

BREDEN (IRE) was well held after 13 months off; mid-field, ridden over 2f out, weakened.
